My KC Live anchors Jillian Carroll and Marleah Campbell featured Executive Producer Brenda VanLengen and the If Not For Them docuseries in this recent KCTV5 segment.
“It’s been incredible,” VanLengen said. “We celebrated the 50th anniversary of Title IX recently, but people don’t really know how that impacted things. before that, there were no high school sports for girls. There were no intercollegiate sports for women and it took the courage of these women to fight the battles so that we have what we have. Title IX wouldn’t have been implemented if they hadn’t fought for it.”
