“I played in college because of those who paved the way, I coached at the high school and college level , and I’ve been a broadcaster for almost three decades,” VanLengen said on the show. “I owe all these things I’ve been able to experience in my life to those that paved the way, those that fought the battles, changed social norms, made cultural shifts, did things when it was not popular to do them.”
